About Alexander

Alexander C. Pullen, Sr., SHRM-SCP, is the Principal Consultant of Pullen Strategies, LLC, the Inclusion & Belonging Business Partner at HubSpot, as well as a doctoral candidate.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Alexander is an experienced Human Resource scholar with a strong track record for world-class HR management and development, including diversity and inclusion, organizational culture design, recruitment, employee relations, and talent management and development. Alexander brings with him ten years of experience in Compliance and in Human Resources. He holds a BA from Howard University, an MA in Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America, and is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Education in Human & Organizational Learning at the George Washington University (GW). His research interests include organizational resilience, servant and transformational leadership, and organizational culture.

 

With a demonstrated record of proactive service and the ability to deal effectively with a diverse and demanding client base, Alexander enjoys applying his passion for organizational development and culture design to his work within and outside of the workplace. Currently, Alexander serves as a/an:

  • Human resources and diversity, equity, + inclusion practitioner for a tech firm, 

  • Consultant supporting the culture transformation initiative at GW,

  • Member of the Young Professionals Advisory Council for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM),

  • Executive coach for small business owners and emerging leaders, and

  • Small group facilitator for the Alfred Street Baptist Church.

 

Alexander has spoken at various conferences and events, including for SHRM, the National Basketball Association (NBA), Audimation Services, Inc, International Ticketing Association, and non-profits across the DC + Atlanta Metropolitan areas. Alexander is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
